Five Things About Me
I can easily work independently and am not afraid to face new or unfamiliar challenges. I was born and raised in Wisconsin but had my first taste of the world when I flew solo at 17 to teach English in Kumamoto, Japan, for the summer. I later called Japan home for six years as an English Instructor, Assistant Head Instructor, and Trainer.
I am adaptable and thrive when working with others. The three months I spent volunteering in Cambodia were the most eye-opening and life-changing I've ever experienced. I had the opportunity to create valuable course material for the children we worked with, work with international SMEs, and create training for staff. I also managed transportation and large group events for international interns and missionary groups.
I believe the greatest thing we can do in this life is to help others. I love volunteering, both locally and internationally.
I understand the importance of work-life balance. When I'm not working, one thing I love to do is go hiking. My goal is to visit every US National Park one day!
I am creative and innovative. I love to view the world from multiple angles. In my free time, I enjoy cooking new dishes, learning about video editing, and taking photos. You can see some of my work on my Multimedia page!
